New York, Day 3...Manhattan Bound

     Today was an easy day.  I was simply packing up my stuff and moving into Manhattan.  I really didn't want to have to do this since it's kind of a hassle.  But, in the end it was worth it.  So, I lingered about the room for a while, packed up my stuff and walked the mile to the beach.

     

   

    With plenty of time on my hands, I took the local train out of Coney Island, going the long way around.  

     At one stop there was construction going on outside.  Nothing new for New York.  I just had never seen such a long boom being used to pour concrete before.  

      It was still a little early for check in.  To their credit, the front desk staff at the New Yorker Hotel  were fine with it.  Unlike the last time, I didn't score an upgraded room. No complaints.  But, two people with bags would have been a bit tight.

    With the afternoon already waning, it was time for an evening stroll through the neighborhood...
