Roadtrip, Day 15...Leaving New Jersey

 Day 15

Sunday 6/1/2025

The original plan was to check out around 9A and head south.  But, another quick visit delayed that a bit.

With a little time to kill, I took a walk.  Marion Avenue was a connecting road that we used all the time.  The houses on the west side of the road were all small, on small lots.

None of those old homes are left.

Briganti's, the Italian Deli, changed hands numerous times since then.  It's now a Costa Rican sandwich shop.  It was a Latin Deli the last time I walked past.

Walking past my parent's old house started feeling weird after the current owner's major renovations.  So, I didn't go there.

I swear, I didn't plan this one, either.

Walking down Central Avenue, I passed this home under construction.  Yup, that's a four car garage.

Since I caught the southbound train, there was the inevitable northbound train a few minutes later.

One more stop before leaving Jersey... Lunch with my sister in South Jersey.  As always, it was good to catch up on everything going on.

It was another hour and a half south to Havre de Grace, Maryland, my home for the night.  If you've ever driven in the greater South Jersey, Delaware, Baltimore and DC area in the morning, the you know.  I was going to get slammed.  At least I got Delaware behind me.

My home for the night was a Super 8.  It really seems like a crap shoot with these places.  Some are perfectly fine, others are a bit sketchy.  This one, somewhere in the middle.

   Sunset through the window...
